Kerala man has built an aircraft to fly across Europe
One man hailing from Kerala lives his dream by traveling with his family across Europe and the UK using a plane that was built by his family.
A four-seat airplane
The London-based Ashok Aliseril Thamarakshan, a native of Alappuzha in Kerala and has designed an aircraft with four seats that took 18 months to build.

At the time that the world was producing Dalgona coffee as well as streaming movies during the coronavirus lockdown Thamarakshan was at work creating an aircraft.
Covid lockdown
Thamarakshan along with his spouse, as well as their two daughters, have traveled to Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic.

He is currently employed by Ford Company & also has an air pilot's license.
The Sling was named by the single engine G-Diya in honor of his daughter Diya.
Name
The 38-year old was aware about a Johannesburg-based firm Sling Aircraft launching a new aircraft called Sling TSI in 2018.

After visiting their manufacturing facility, Thamarakshan ordered a kit to construct his own plane. The outbreak of pandemics provided him ample time to build the lengthy project.

The project is estimated to cost of Rs 1.8 million for Indian currency.
Cost
A mechanical engineer in trade, Ashok Thamarakshan, 38 is the child of former MLA Av Thamarakshan.

He relocated from India to UK at the age of 6 and lives at London along with wife Abhilasha.
